Sorry--The Saturday, June 20th bus trip to New York City has filled.

Take me out to the ballgame! The Park and Recreation Department announces opportunities to visit the new Yankee Stadium and the Met's Citi Field in New York City this summer.

Area's top performers highlight the Summer Concert Series at the J. Leon Hagerty Amphitheater located at West Goshen Community Park.

The Summer Recreation Program and the Summer Teen Program will begin on Monday, June 22nd and will continue through August 14th. Afternoon Sports Clinics begin on Monday, June 29th.

Children living in West Goshen Township can show their patriotism and participate in the Decorated Bike Parade on Saturday, July 4th.

The Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company returns to West Goshen Community Park with a free production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Saturday, July 18th.

The Park and Recreation Department offers opportunities to get fit, including a special fitness program designed specifically for people with M.S., Summer Water Walking sessions, and an Adventure Boot Camp for Women.

The dogpark at Robert E. Lambert Park is open. The West Goshen Park and Recreation Department introduces "Watch Dogs," volunteers who help make users aware of the rules of Roonie's Canine Corner.

Pavilion rentals are available for groups at Barker Park, located on Falcon Lane and Westtown Road, Coopersmith Park, located on Spring Lane, and West Goshen Community Park, located on N. Five Points and Fern Hill Roads. Each park is equipped with picnic tables, charcoal grills, ball fields and playground areas.  A rental fee is charged for the use of electricity, water and rest rooms. Township parks are open daily from dawn to dusk. Groups may check the availability of these facilities by contacting the Park and Recreation Office at
610-696-5266 or by e-mailing Klehr@westgoshen.org. The Application for Pavilion Rental is available online.

Did you know that many of the events sponsored by the West Goshen Park and Recreation Board are free to the public? The West Goshen Park and Recreation Board asks anyone attending a free public event to bring a donation of a dry good item for the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Coatesville Veterans Hospital.
