WEST GOSHEN TOWNSHIP
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
MAY 26, 1999

A regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors of West Goshen Township was called to order by Chairman Edward G. Meakim, Jr., at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at the Township Building. Mr. Edward Meakim and Dr. Robert White were present, and Mr. Raymond Halvorsen was absent.  Mr. Meakim opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Mr. Meakim opened the floor for public comment, and there was none.

On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the Board unanimously approved the bills to be paid from the General Fund, the Sewer Fund, the Capital Reserve Fund, and the Waste and Recycling Fund.

On motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Dr. White, the Board appointed Michael P. Bannan to the Planning Commission.  Mr. Bannan moved from his position as the alternate to a regular member of the Commission due to the resignation of Harvey T. Corbett. 

On motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Dr. White, the Board acknowledged receipt of the contribution from West Chester University in the amount of $855.00.

On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, unanimous approval was given for a Final Land Development Plan for the division into three units an existing 45,000 S.F. industrial building located at 300 Lawrence Drive for Warehouse Associates Partnership.  Mr. David Sanders, of Edward B. Walsh & Associates, was present to represent the plan.

On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, unanimous approval was given for a Final Land Development Plan for the conversion of a 23,425 S.F. warehouse into offices and for an additional 241 new parking spaces at 931 South Matlack Street, and for a 80,000 S.F. flex building on the north side of Hagerty Boulevard, east of Matlack Street. Both are for Electronic Boutiques, Inc.  Mr. David Sanders, of Edward B. Walsh & Associates, was present to represent the plan.

On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, unanimous approval was given for the adoption of Resolution No. 14-99, for the following traffic regulatory sign:

On motion by Dr. White, seconded by Mr. Meakim, unanimous approval was given for the adoption of Ordinance 4-99, amending Section 74-10 of the Earned Income Tax Ordinance. Specific language was inserted to clarify the withholding of the 1% income tax for those non-residents who are employed in West Goshen Township.

No further comments were made.

There being no further business, on motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Dr. White, the meeting was adjourned at 4:12 p.m.
