1. The meeting was Called to Order at 7:00 PM by Jeffrey Laudenslager with the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG.

2. The meeting was opened to the Floor for Public Comment.

Frank Moretti of 794 Mercer Lane asked whether Tony Stancato had dedicated Mercer Lane to the Township. The Township Engineer indicated, "No, not yet."

Mr. Moretti then asked what was going on with the Jerrehian Estate.  The Township Engineer told him of the meeting of the Board of Supervisors with the West Chester School Board.  The traffic impact and the cost of the property make it unlikely for the School Board to insist upon placing a school on the tract.

3. MINUTES

Bob Little noted that the Minutes for 1/18/2000 did not specifically state that he could sign Plans in the absence of the Chairman at the Board of Supervisors' meetings or when needed.

MOTION:  To accepted the MINUTES for 1/18/2000 as corrected.
ACTION:  Diehl/Bannan (6-0).

4. Final Land Development Plan for 68,000 sq. ft. office and 6,000 sq. ft. airplane hangar located on the north side of Ward Avenue for Blair and Son, Inc.

Leonard Blair was present for the Plan.  The Township Engineer indicated that all Township reuirements were met. There was a question about the connection to the runway and that permission had been received by the Pilots Association.  Another question concerned fire protection.  It was noted that the Fire Marshal gets to review the Plan to ensure that a fire engine has proper access to the airstrip.

MOTION:  To recommend approval of the Final Land Development for 68,000 sq. ft. office and 6,000 sq. ft. airplane hangar for Blair and Son, Inc.
ACTION:  Little/Diehl (7-0).

5. Final Land Development Plan for 36,000 sq. ft. office building located on the west side of Airport Road for Airfield Properties, Inc.

John Drury and his son-in-law were present for the Plan. The Plan was reviewed by the Commission.  A question to Mr. Drury was about what the building would look like.  His anwer seemed to say that depending on who bought it, it could look like the other new buildings around the airport.

MOTION:  To recommend approval of the 36,000 sq. ft. Office Building for Airfield Properties, Inc.
ACTION:  Little/Diehl (7-0).

6. Final Land Development Plan for 8,600 sq. ft. Pre-School Facility located at 1030 Andrews Drive for Krapf Coaches, Inc.

Dale Krapf was there for the Plan along with Pam Deal who will be in charge of the Day Care Center. Mr. Krapf told the Commission the difficulties these days of finding school bus drivers.  He felt that a Day Care Facility would bake it easier for him to keep Bus Drivers.  The Township Engineer indicated that there was an approved plan on the bookds which had never been built.  When asked how many children could be accomodated, Pam Deal answered 120 youngsters. Also, the Day Care would be open to the public.

MOTION:  To recommend approval of the 8,600 sq. ft. Pre-School Center for Krapf Coaches, Inc.
ACTION:  Little/O'Brien (7-0).

7. Initial Submission for 20,000 sq. ft. of office spaces for A. Duie Pyle, Inc. was presented by the Township Engineer.  Peter Latta has received permission for an additional 5 feet of height for his addition.  There is sufficient parking and above-ground fuel tanks are across the street.

8. There were no Committee Reports.

9. The Floor was Opened for Public Comment.

Joe Schiavoni of 788 Mercer Lane had questions concerning the expansion around the airport. He wanted to know how big the jets could be that he had seen landing and taking off.  He was told that the plane he might have seen would have been smaller than a "Lear" which requires 4,500 feet of runway. The runway is 3,000 feet.

10.  MOTION: To adjourn the meeting at 7:24 PM.
       ACTION: Little/Diehl (7-0).

Respectfully submitted,

Nancy Boothe Higgins, Secretary
