WEST GOSHEN TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MARCH 14, 2001
A regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors of West Goshen Township was called to order by Chairman Robert S. White, at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at the West Goshen Township Administration
Building. All members were present. Dr. White opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Dr. White opened the floor for public comment.
Ms. Susan Leander, resident of 315 Joy Lane, spoke of the possible installation of a cellular wireless tower in close proximity to her residence and the local neighborhood. Ms. Leander questioned health risks involved with the installation of such a tower. Dr. White advised that a hearing on the proposed wireless tower would immediately follow the regular meeting and any questions could be addressed at that time.
Dr. White announced that East Goshen Township has requested that monies be contributed for roadway improvements at Wilson Drive and Boot Road. Dr. White advised that the total cost of the project is
approximately $520,000.
On motion by Mr. Halvorsen, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the board unanimously agreed to fund $30,000 to East Goshen Township for these traffic improvements to be made at the intersection of Wilson Drive and Boot Road.
On motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Mr. Halvorsen, the Board unanimously approved the Board of Supervisor meeting minutes of February 14, 2001 and February 28, 2001.
On motion by Mr. Halvorsen, seconded by Mr. Meakim, the Board unanimously approved the Treasurer's Report dated February 28, 2001, for the General Fund, the Sewer Revenue Fund, the Waste and Recycling Fund, and the
Capital Reserve Fund, as well as the bills to be paid from the General Fund, the Sewer Fund, the Capital Reserve Fund, and the Waste and Recycling Fund.
Lt. Joseph J. Gleason gave the Police Report for the month of February, 2001. Lt. Gleason announced that the annual Skatearama would take place on March 24, 2001 at Ice Line.
Ralph Brown, Fire Marshal, gave the Fire Marshal Report for the month of February, 2001. Mr. Brown also gave the reports for Good Fellowship Club of Chester County and Goshen Fire and Ambulance Company.
Richard E. Hicks, Building Official, gave the Building Inspection Activity Report for February, 2001.
No further public comments were made.
There being no further business, on motion by Mr. Meakim, seconded by Mr. Halvorsen, the meeting was adjourned at 4:08 p.m.
