WEST GOSHEN TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING March 13, 2002
A regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of West Goshen Township was called to order by Chairman Robert S. White, at 4:06 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at the West Goshen Township
Administration Building. Edward G. Meakim, Vice Chairman, was absent. Dr. White opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Dr. White opened the floor for public comment. No comments were made.
Sharon Lynn, Township Manager, announced that the Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at 4:00 p.m.
The regular Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2002 is cancelled.
Ms. Nancy D. Rodgers, Zoning Officer, announced that the Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public meeting on Thursday, March 14, 2002 at the West Goshen Township Administration Building at 7:30 p.m. to
hear two applications. For ZHB 3-02 the applicant is Good Fellowship Club of Chester County, Inc., 600 Montgomery Avenue.
The legal owner of the real estate is The Chester County Hospital, 701 East Marshall Street. The conforming property is located between 600 East Marshall Street and 600 Montgomery Avenue. The applicant is seeking variances and any other relief necessary to demolish the existing structure and to construct a new three-story building. For ZHB 4-02 the applicant and legal owner is Fern Hill LLC, 908 Sheridan Drive. The conforming property is located at 915 Old Fern Hill Road. The applicant is seeking a Special Exception and any other relief necessary to construct a 10,500 sq. ft. stand alone building for child day care use.
On motion by Ms. McIlvaine, seconded by Dr. White, the Board unanimously approved the Board of Supervisors minutes from February 13, 2002 and February 27, 2002.
On motion by Ms. McIlvaine, seconded by Dr. White, the Board unanimously approved the Treasurer's Report dated February 28, 2002 for the General Fund, the Sewer Revenue Fund, the Waste and Recycling Fund,
and the Capital Reserve Fund, as well as the bills to be paid from the General Fund, the Sewer Fund, the Capital Reserve Fund, and the Waste and Recycling Fund.
Lt. Joseph Gleason gave the Police Report for the month of February, 2002.
Lt. Gleason announced that the annual Skatearama will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2002 at Ice Line as part of the "Say No To Drugs" program.
Ralph Brown, Fire Marshal, gave the Fire Marshal Report for the month of February, 2002.
Mr. Brown also gave the report for Goshen Fire Company and Good Fellowship Club of Chester County. Dr. White noted that on the first page of Mr. Brown's report the inspection done on February 5, 2002 should state it was for Hidden Hollow and not the Sleepy Hollow Development as listed.
Richard Hicks, Building Official, gave the Building Inspection Activity Report for February, 2002.
Mr. Richard J. Craig, Township Engineer, opened bids for one 5,000 gallon double wall bulk storage tank.
